Sleep in an English summer?

What do you do to improve your sleep?

An English summer is not a great time to sleep. The humidity is not Hong Kong humid but it feels as oppressive. Our homes are geared to keep us warm, not cool. We get s hot spell and everyone is hanging out of windows like rag dolls. Personally I don’t find it impossible, just difficult. To help? Cool water on the neck and wrists and loose cotton bedwear.

Flannel pyjamas are locked away for the summer. Electric blanket is rolled up in the cupboard, hot water bottle hanging on its hook. Fly screens on the windows. No mosquitoes here thank you!
