Muttering about cluttering

Where can you reduce clutter in your life?

I found it difficult to find a good picture today—perhaps I should have just taken a picture of my kitchen table. 6×4 feet of chaos. It’s a farmhouse kitchen, so it has a massive table. In the old days the deceased were laid out on these tables. Made dinner time interesting.

You might just be able to see the start of the clutter on my table from here

You can see that I actually live in a cluttered environment. Talking with others who rattle around in big old houses, clutter is a common problem. It seems the more space, the less chance there is of living tidily. In my workshop I have no less than three dead bread makers, three bicycles and around half a dozen car batteries and four pairs of wellington boots with holes in.

I think I need help, I’m not a hoarder, I just can’t be bothered to take it to the tip and spend the day:

1: arguing with the attendant over my eligibility to drive my van in. (I’m not a trader)

2: What category my pile of old Horse and Hound, and Country Living magazines go in.

3: Where does my vast collection of old dried up paint pots go?

Life is too short to worry about being tidy. Let someone else sort it out as you’re being overcooked down at the local crematorium.

Emotive subject. I used to love a good gallop around the country. Not sure about the fox thing. One ate all my chickens once. There are more foxes in Grimsby now than all the Lincolnshire Wolds!
