I reckon that as I’ve got older I feel the cold more. I don’t sit around all day doing nothing either. I just feel cold. My nose gets cold, then my feet and then hands.
The nose is the one though, if it feels cold it’s time to take action! Brisk walking, extra clothing, a heated gilet.
I understand now why us old folk feel the cold. Our bodies are slowing down and not generating as much heat, our metabolism is slowing so we need a bit of help!
Summer is slow coming this year, we’ve burnt an extra half ton of coal waiting for warmer days. With these prices we won’t be able to afford more now. Life’s cruel. We should be able to keep warm in winter as pensioners, not lie in bed because it’s the warmest place we have. Happy days….
