What is the best excuse you have heard lately?
We’ve all heard that one. Making excuses, usually for a social event is commonplace these days. It never used to be. An appointment was made, a schedule arranged. Nothing would affect it.
Nowadays feeble excuses abound. It seems post Covid people don’t want to make the effort to keep meetings scheduled or social clubs going.
Are we afraid of going out now, or is it too expensive? The feebleness of excuses I hear borders on the pathetic. And we all know the absentee is lying through their back teeth.
It’s like we can’t be bothered to socialise now. Stay at home with a bottle of wine and Netflix. T
The new age is upon us . We are where the government wants us. Isolated, controlled, accountable, living in cities, paying our taxes.
