He’s OK, bit weird, but OK.

Tell us one thing you hope people say about you.

I wasn’t sure whether to make this an epitaph or not, like something on my gravestone if I get one. There’s the famous epitaph on the grave marker of Comedian Spike Milligan:
“I told you I was ill.”

But enough of epitaphs, we are talking about the things we hope others say about us in the present.

Nobody wants to think that others say horrible things behind our backs. I for one don’t particularly care, there’s nothing you or I can do about it anyway. At least you’re taking the heat off some other poor soul while they talk about you.

My long suffering partner thinks I’m bonkers, she moans that I’m either playing my music or writing and that nothing else matters. She’s wrong of course, I have my furry pal Lily!

I mean, how can you not love something with a permanent smile on their face who is delighted to see you 24/7 ?

So the one thing I hope people say is:

“He’s a bit weird, but OK”

An old buddy used to say to me:

“Marcus, you’re not wired right.”

I know my lift goes to the top floor but in jerky hops sideways as well as vertically, like that one in the Harry Potter film in the Ministry of Magic.

That’s what makes us all individuals. No matter how hard some of try to fit in, to blend or be part of the crowd we were all subtly different.

If I wasn’t a screw loose I certainly wouldn’t be sat at 4am writing this, would I? But being an avid supporter of the first and second sleep system as per medieval times I’m acting quite normally for a 500 year old person.

Time for the second sleep then, just remember that while someone is talking about you…….you still exist! (Deep thoughts man, deep thoughts.)
