The family nose flute

Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.

It’s Burns Night again, and the family nose flute is produced to continue the tradition of our ancestors. Along with our unusual left-handed haggis drum, the family orchestra has been supplemented by the trouser brace cello.

Last year our nose flute orchestra was dealt a severe blow, as a virulent head cold forced us down to a solo rendition of “Scotland the Brave”

This year however, four generations of nasalists will grace the family seat and the recital will include favourites such as “Nobody Nose the trouble I’ve seen” “Nose Job” (James Brown) and the unforgettable Granny’s Green Handkerchief Oratorio.

Sadly I will miss this year’s audible extravaganza due to my nasal polyps playing up, but I hope to be nostrilly active for next year.

Wishing you a great Burns Night and hope you bag a haggis or two.
