Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.
Ok, so I don’t live even remotely close to the Pyramids, define close. Close compared to what? The Moon?
There’s no way I’ll get to the moon, so I’ll settle for something closer to home. The pyramids of Egypt. There’s something really mystical about them. They speak of a technology lost in history to us, how did they do it? We can surmise and have some pretty close ideas and archeological remains to support our theories. But there’s no instruction manual has been found clutched in the dusty hand of a mummy in a tomb.
Fascinating, enigmatic, alluring. Why that shape? Why so big? Just—why?
Will I get round to visiting them? Highly unlikely now. I went to Tunisia and Morocco, but somehow the Pyramids got missed. Oh well, in the next incarnation then…
