Which languages do you speak and how did that impact your life?
When I was learning French many centuries ago, some wit brought this book into class. I’m sure you can still get hold of it whether it’s PC or not now I don’t give a monkeys. It had us in stitches!

believe the average Englishman just shouts louder to be understood. Everyone wants to speak English, so you get those ridiculous conversations where the Englishman struggles to speak whatever language, and the foreign person is just dying to try his English out to impress his mates.
I remember meeting an Arab gentleman in the middle of a North African country. I Salaamed and got the reply — “Bobby Moore, Manchester United” different….
